think tonight is really the first night that I have actually felt the sweat dripping down my face in judo. lol.

I was tired. I wasnot feeling well this afternoon but I decided to go anyway. I almost had to do the five minute drill with the sensei. it's a good thing he found me a partner. I thought I was going to die because I was tired. he wanted us to do speed what'it;s in about 1 in less than 1 sec. I could not do that in any sane streach of the imagination. I don't know what happened but during the five minute drill my partner and I bumped heads.

later my partner (from last week and friend) were called up to do uki otosh in front of the entire class because we had done it so well last week(not that i do judo very well or anything). after the class my friend told me that i was a good fighter.

near the end there was an excersize were we split up into groups of three (there is a story behind that number that I will get to). any way it was top bottome out. meaning you got to take turns being on the top, on the floor and watching. my other friend got hurt and could only watch. so rineigh and I took turns. we didnot get to rest it was just go, go go. and painfull. that last round I just let her squish me because i was to tired to do anything. then the sensei called line it up and we were done. thank God. I was sweating to bad my shirt was wet. my leggings were wet.everything else was wet.

"finesse, nice and easy; sounds like a hair product."
                                                                -Sensei

(to myself in thought)"if it's so easy why does it hurt?"

I learned a knew throw last night. ouch it's dificult. I did not say I had learnded it very well....
uki othoshe or somehtingh to that effect of spelling.  I'm going to need to practice the 5minute drill at home.  my left sided stff is not very good.  I need to work on that. not that anything i do in judo is very good.

did I mention that the sensei is leaving to go to the olympic training center?
well he is. and I admit that i will miss him.
I also admit that i don't know him that wll.  Ill miss him because He's on of the best teacher's i've had.  the best teachers for me are the ones that are really tough.
and he's really tough.  No I do't have a crush if your gigling while reading this.  I just happen to like the way he teaches.
he pushes us all to our limits I think. the say (the older guys apparently) that three minutes fighting josh is three minutes in ---

was I right to be scared?

A few days ago when I was working (I was alone as usual) in my sandy arena (it’s mine when it’s full of weeds it belongs to Mrs. S when it’s full of weeds) pulling weeds when I happened to glance and the horses in the pasture next to me.

They had all stopped that were all looking and listening to some thing in one direction.

They were looking beyond me I could tell that. And listening intently.  I looked were they were looking but couldn’t really see anything amiss.

A little while later when I was riding in the sandy arena the pony I was riding, cowboy, stopped and looked in the same direction.  His ears were turned and his whole body felt like it was just listening and he really did not want to go over towards that side of the arena.

Was I right to feel nervous and slightly frightened?

Well then, I will tell you. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions will die for Him.... I think I understand something of human nature; and I tell you, all these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man.... I have inspired multitudes with such an enthusiastic devotion that they would have died for me.... but to do this it was necessary that I should be visibly present with the electric influence of my looks, my words, of my voice. When I saw men and spoke to them, I lighted up the flame of self-devotion in their hearts.... Christ alone has succeeded in so raising the mind of man toward the unseen, that it becomes insensible to the barriers of time and space. Across a chasm of eighteen hundred years, Jesus Christ makes a demand which is beyond all others to satisfy; He asks for that which a philosopher may seek in vain at the hands of his friends, or a father of his children, or a bride of her spouse, or a man of his brother. He asks for the human heart; He will have it entirely to Himself. He demands it unconditionally; and forthwith His demand is granted. Wonderful! In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love toward Him. This phenomenon is accountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most; I have often thought of it. This is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ!
