My brother is sore now because he tried the same from flip. (see "my tongue is broke")
but he landed on his back as compared to my landing on my but/feet.  So we go a good laugh out of it and I think he is feeling it in his back. I hope he feels better. he's supposed to go free-running tonight. I hope mom lets me go with him. we would be going to the park so it aught to be fun.
I found the difference between free running and parkour interesting.

my togue is broke

In our front yard we have a retaining wall  to create a parking space for my dad's car when he parks outside. this retaining wall is about.... four feet high and I was practicing some....stuff off of it. I can do a pretty darn good round-off off it. I also trying to get another trick off it but I'm not sure what it's call. like a round of with no hands. Unfortunately, I uh, wasn't able to do it. I would jump and, uh, all of my control circuits must have switched over to automatic. because, my legs froze up and wouldn't go over. So that wouldn't work but I did get to try my front flip. Unfortunately, I had stood there psyching my self up for it so when I landed I landed on both by feet and but. and when I landed I, uh, well, I forgot that I had my tongue in between my teeth so when I landed I bit it pretty good.
So I came in and recounted my broken tongue experience and failed stunts. Mom just cracked up, and she laughed even harder when I told her that free-running must be being able to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
Then I came down and my little sister happily told me "Hey, our friend says we'd be good at parkour because we are so flexible!"
I'm like "yeah, my tongue says otherwise."
so, yeah, my tongue hurts now.

my world has rules

I have mat burns on my elbows just so you know.
I let my friend read my story and she started telling me what should happen. (I asked for a little more clarification on some points) and who should die and who should get married. so we were "discussing" that if she wants to write withing my world she can she just has to follow some simple guidlines.

-you may not under any circumstances kill, maim, do mental harm or otherwise incapacitate my main characters without my express permission (I may need them later.)

-you may not marry them and/or give them kids without my permission.

-you may not ad creatures to my world and you Must and when you use those creatures you must work within the boundaries and guidelines set for them (i.e. unicorns are never evil, no faeries please they drive me nuts, unicorn/Pegasus cross breeds are so rare you probably won't find one [mostly because I haven't decided were I stand on the Pegasus issue, what do you guys think?])

-you have to work with whatever plot I'm working on (stay out of the way or cooperate)

of those the first and last are the only ones that absolutely have to be followed. the others I can negotiate on.
but she insists on taking my story in a totally different direction that I was and says she is going to write the sequel. All in all, very amusing to listen to her talk.

This is me sitting on a rail maybe 15 feet above the ground. first I'm just sitting with my feet over the side. second...
 centering myself a bit more.
I didn't even know mom was taking these.
I'm watching my little siblings playing in the yard down below me. specifically my little bro. He was running around with his shirt off. he's gonna be cute when he gets older. not that I would know any thing about that...*rolls eyes*

yoiu know your only a barn hand when...

-you know exactly how many times you sweep the barn in a year.
-you realize that bandanna's are for more than holding up banks, holding up trains and making western dudes look dashing.
-your riding boots are speckled in white paint
-you enjoy black and green fences because you spent all summer painting things white.
-when your friends take you to the tack store they go to look at horse blankets for their horses and ponies and you  go look at apple forks and muck boots
-you know how NOT to brake the apple fork when your boss breaks it
-your boss bought you a muck cart
-avoid organizing the tool shed at all cost
-enjoy it when some one leaves their radio in the barn.
-go out to look for horse shoes when one is thrown
-knows that it's easier to pull weeds in the arena than try to torch them.
-don't mind it when your siblings ride while you work
-know that the day you get done work will be the day that you sit in the shade and eat poptarts (it'll never happen)
-have hay and mud in your halfchaps
-know what rain does to oil pant when your painting jumps
-know what oil paint does when you spill it in the trough
can you guys think of anything else?
don't forget, please sign our guest book!
